what would be classed as an extreme case temperature?

Depends on who you ask.

I would classify anything over 40c as extreme for the case temp.

Unless you have just installed an EasyBake Oven, of course.

Oh, could that explain why I'm having trouble with my temps?

Perhaps.

But how are the chocolate chip cookies?

I'd also say that for CASE TEMP anything over probably about 45 is way too high, but there is no reason why it should be anything more than 38 ;)

And how did you decide on a number as odd as 38, Ross?

If the case temp is even 10˚C above room temp then you really need to work in case ventilation.

Yeah.
I understand it's a very hot career choice.

Kudos for not invisibly editing your post, VB.
I assume that mods can do that.

lol, first i was thinking 35, then i thought no that is too close to 30 which is probably average to most, so i upped it a little.

Okay.
Just curious.

I find that 38c is perfect for souffles, but takes way too long to dry my jeans.

Sprocket is truly a multi-purpose PC.

I'd be lost without her....

Edit:
Dave.
Sorry.
Didn't realize you had a completely valid reason for asking.
38c is as good a number as any, so go for it.
