OK I go to burn a cd-rw with nero, I erase it and then i burn it but when i go check it with windows explorer there is nothing on the disc. OK So i try another cd-rw doing the same process erase and burn same result.

So i'm like WTF?

I usally erase with quick method so i tryed to erase it with full method.
The fullmethod is only suppose to take 20min but not here it said it world take like 24345353434mins etc.
seriously

then when i checked the medium info after erasing it

I get this problem periodically and you aren't going to like the reply much but it worked for me

Reboot and run nero with nothing else running in background.Delete cd again
If that dosen't work run regseeker, reboot try again.

If all else fails uninstall and reinstall, try again

sorry this is boring

Oh you got fooled too eh? A cdr-w is like a floppy you have to format it first . Then burn, we all made that mistake at first . :D

How do you format a cd-rw i never heard of formatting a cd-rw, I don't want to use it like a floppy i wanna use it like a cd-r only with erase capabilities

you just burn a cd-rw like a normal cd-r (I use them)

it is possible to fomat them, and then they act like a normal floppy's (appropriate software needed) but thats not the issue here

if you have more than one burning application installed it can cause conflicts

i got rid of alcohul already and re installed nero

you could always try a system restore to the point just before you used alcohol, this can be undone if it doesn't work

Looking at the root of the problem, I can't seem to erase cd-rw's

I did a full erase with nero, windows explorer says it's blank but nero says there's still a session.

Really what should i do?
