I have noticed that Rossco is ever present in the hardware section and comes up with answers to just about everything, i think you should consider making him a mod. The guy that runs hardware should consider it too and i never really see him or her make any contributions...

Are you saying that we should sack the current mod of Hardware world and put Rossco2004 in his place?

Looks like it.

It appears that knowledge is now the most important thing, rather than impartiality, temperament and the ability to moderate the board and it's members. Though I am sure the fellow has these qualities in bucketfuls as well.

Who would have thought it.

Did you ask the chap before suggesting his name, or is this just your decision, just wondered.

I am in Hardwareworld a lot, pretty much the only place I go in this forum now. From what I've seen VB has been an excellent mod and I have no complaints about him at all.
I also will argue the earlier comment about him "not make any contributions", the person who stated this has obviously not been an active part of Hardwareworld. VB has helped many people and given a lot of excellent advice.
Although I know Rossco quite well and talk to him pretty much every day, and I aggree that he is very helpful and is "always around", I don't think he should replace VB. VB has done nothing wrong, and actually has done a lot right.
I say keep VB as a mod, and keep Rossco as an ever helping/always around member.
I would be happy with that and I'm sure not many others would complain.

Well there's another card coming up that you can use.

Yes, it's that one which the mods looked over but hasn't been posted  I'll get round to it ASAP.

fuck all this shit abut being a mod

Rosco is a helper and a great one at it!! (Ive learned a stack form his posts)

moment he is made mod his life changes

place is about contributing if people don't want to contribute they can go fuck themselves

You don't have to be a mod to show how much you help

Rosco has answers, but i dont think they are sometimes rambling, and out of context :music1: , but i see Virtual Body doesnt make as many frequent posts, but when he does they are technical, too the point, and usually correct. Vote VB, 2004.

I don't get it either, Ross.

The fact that I'm a moderator keeps me quite busy on this board other than just posting a lot of help in HardwareWorld. Moderating takes a lot of time and keeping up to date with everything going in with the whole board. Lots of things that don't show up to the regular members here.

I do check everything that goes on in Hardwareworld and if I see that things are being answered then I just move on to other tasks. I post when I can add something that was left unsaid. No use adding anything when we already have a great skilled team of members in Hardwareworld doing a great job. One being ROSSCO_2004.

Ya, i understand that. You have a lot of mod stuff to do, especially with all the spamming going on around the board lately, and the big trashbin incident that happened too.

vb, just wondering, how many hours a day do u put into being on the board? (not criticizing or anything, jsut wondering, since i can't really see how many...)

Remember, VB is Canadian.

Each of his hours is equivalent to approximately 46 US minutes.

I cannot tell you how much time per day. It varies from one day to the next.

And when you add the exchange rate then it gets really confusing.

We appreciate that you try your best, VB.

I can imagine that between caring for your walruses and shoveling the snow out of your living room you might be pressed for time.

Make http://filesharingtalk.com/uploads/av-18320.jpg a mod.

That would make sense. All of the necessary attributes. :)

I agree...the bubble head, devoid of content, would be ideal.

Tom Servo would be a great mod.
