Is This A Scam?

The new sign at the top says “Warning: Do not pay for file sharing. Anyone who charges is a scam!” …But when I first joined here I got a pm from someone called “Spider Dude”? Saying that I had to pay a monthly subscription to him of £500 pounds sterling?

Is this a scam? :unsure:

I had to buy a monthly subscription too&#33; But how come I had to put butter on my bum and make moo noises?

I think it would have been easier to just pay the money...
