Need Help

I need help figuring these songs out, i've never known their name or the group, and i'm sure it's someone that I like and know, so please help!!

Song #1: The Chorus is either "Whoaa....has heaven let your light shine out" or "Whoaaa...gonna let your light shine out"

Song #2: The Chorus is simply "As slow as you go, as slow as you go" and so on and so on.

Please help B)

That first one sounds familiar - but I am not 100% sure.

As for the second - I have no idea.

Finally figured out the first one, it's by Collective Soul called "Shine"

Are you sure the lyrics aren't ""How low can you go"? If so it could be either Subhuman by Garbage, or Born to Hand Jive by Sha-Na-Na (depending on your musical preferences).

could you give another clue? is it a rock song?
can you judge from the use of the instruments what era....60's? (usually only used a lead guitar, drums and a bass. maybe a keyboard) ....70's started getting into the synthesizers and all that disco type sounds... 80's??? not really sure what happened there. was any music ever produced in the 80's?

btw- my first post here hope to see you all around this summer :P
