I was wondering, does anyone have a GBA Flash Rom Cartridge? What are they like? Are they reliable? Can the work fully like a real GBA cartridge? I kinda want a real persons opinion/review.

I want to buy a GBA SP, and a 256MB Flash Rom Cartridge, but I don't know which ones are worth buying (http://www.linker4u.com/pp/item_cate_list.asp?cateID={2A175684-46B0-4E67-B98D-54B0E82E2AB9}), you know, like a reliable brand.

I want a 256MB cartridge, what should I get? (http://www.linker4u.com/pp/item_cate_list.asp?cateID={2A175684-46B0-4E67-B98D-54B0E82E2AB9})

If you're going to get one, get an Easy Flash Advance with the red cartridge. It's the fastest, and I find it very stable (got one of these myself :D ). I havn't tried any of the others, but do not under ANY circumstances buy the "Easy Flash Advance II" with the green cartridge. Its an inferior stolen hack of the real EZFA red  . Also, some shady dealers will try and point you to the "homepage" (http://www.ezf-advance.com/) of EZFA, which is actually the homepage of the stolen EZFAII  . The real homepage of the EZFA is here (http://www.gba-toys.com/default.aspx?tabid=27) where you can read up on it. Anyway, hope this helps you. :D

P.S. The EZFA, being the best flash cart, is also the cheapest!!

Almost everyone says the Easy Flash Advance (red one) is the best. But whats it like really? I joined their forum and started to read a little, and about 90% of their threads are about people and their problems with the cartridge. Do you get any problems with yours?

I have had no problems with mine. I even left it for about 4 months then turned it back on, and it still worked great and the rechargable battery was not dead! :D It writes fast even on USB 1.1, and you just burn and play. While even running on beta software, it worked perfectly for me. Yes, there are some people with problems, but many of them are solved quite quickly, and in the event you do get a dud, you can return it on warranty and get another. Also, while most of the forum is about problems, they are a small percent of actual sales, as most people's whose work properly won't post on the forum. Anyway, to sum it up:

Pros:
Uses a cable for transfer, not an external box
Cable doubles as a multi-boot cable
Needs no power adapter
Fastest writing
Fast backup of roms and saves too
Very easy to get working
One of the cheapest
Cool see-through red case :D

Cons:
Some have problems, but most are solvable

Just buy the 1GB cartridge, a Tv Tuner. And there you have, ultimate gaming. Over 1000 NES roms, and few hundred gba games. :D

Don't forget, SNES emulation on GBA is in beta, and there are other emulators (gameboy and atari I think) plus home-made videos and home-made games. :D
