I have a wireless network and the router is not in my room so if I wanted to play online I would have to move my PS2 and I thought there might be a way to connect to my computer and have access, so I looked around and found this (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/62005) and put it off to the side, but I bought the crossover cable tonight and gave it a try and it works. Step-by-step instuctions here (http://au.playstation.com/ng/ics_setup.jhtml). Might help someone else, so thought I would post. B)

I think you could ahve bought one of these (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=860219&Sku=Z165-1040&CatId=372), plugged the patch cable one end into this and other into ps2 network controller, and that would ahve worked...

im not sure what it is you did, as im too lasy to read through that forum you linked too, but anyway...

I plugged my PS2 into my computer using a crossover cable that cost around 20 bucks. My computer already had a card installed and wanted to go the cheap way.

ok :)

just requires your computer to be on while u play online though...if u were to restart it you would have to stop your game, restart, then start game again...kinda annoying if u ask me lol
