No. You just have to take care of your ipod. Anyways you can do it yourself for liek 50-100 bucks.

Even rechargeable batteries die and won't accept a charge anymore.

I hadn't heard about the iPod's battery being unreplaceable. That's really a stupid move from Apple if that's the case.

I wonder if they could be replaced by opening it up to see if it could be done with cells from elsewhere than Apple.

It's true a friend has one and after a year its alreayd starting to die, only gets about 4 hours play now.

I heard the batteries were like 100bucks american. I find that unacceptable.

There was also a group of two guys who went around spraypainting ipod sucks, or something like that, all over some city (i think new york) and made videos and ds and stuff about the ipod battery thing...

The battaries on that site are only like 30-40 bucks. Thats not too bad.
