It is the worlds most installed and best known MSN addon software, with millions of new installs every month. :)

I am a translator of that software, known on the MsgPlus forums as NeoRevan.

Thank you for helping to spread the word about this fabulous piece of software!
And most importantly of all:
A BIG thank you for not being one of those stupid n00bs who diss the software because they are too DUMB to read the part where it says "I REFUSE, do not install the sponsor software"

Anyways, as I was saying:
5pr34|) |)4 \/\/0r|)! :01: :01: :01: :01: :01:

erm...u know when i read ur post, i quickly scanned my comp with Spybot
spybot picked up 6 DSO exploits, and they definitely come from Messenger Plus

so, i clean it and reinstall messenger plus, with the "I refuse" thing this time
guess wat...spybot still pick up the same DSO exploits again

c'mon...don't blame this guy, he's just a translator <_<
anyway, I've never had a problem with msgplus...it's always been great.
but someone told me in the beginning about the sponsor thing.
version 3 is nice though, now that you don't have to choose a custom install to get the 'no sponsor' option maybe more people will figure it out.

and...I haven't run spybot in a week or two, and I just completely uninstalled/reinstalled messenger & msgplus tonight.
I ran Spybot after install, and found nothing associated with msgplus (and there were new detection rules tonight for 1.3 ;) or DSO exploits.

methinks they came from somewhere else, gildan.

ur right, i had just researched more on them
looks like they're bugs from IE itself (i didn't patch since SP1)

so, i owe true_neo an apology

I personally don’t like it because it has to run in the background to attach its DLL. I would like this program it could just modify MSN messenger directly to load MSN plus DLL`s.

Oh ya... Does a patch like that exist?

I think it's a Spybot bug that people discussed in here a few weeks ago.

ya, whenever i get to the agreements im always reading to make sure im not installing spyware.

my computer has been spyware free (like, real spyware, not just a stupid little cookie from some gay site), for like a year now :D

my sister's computer, on the other hand  Finished removing a shitload of spyware crap, adware, etc. and even had to reinstall internet explorer for her, what does she do? goes to same gay ass website and gets more spyware shit    so i just told her to live with it cause im pissed at her and she is mad but who fuckin cares it's her problem. my dad is trying to fix it for her  he'll never figure it out

that reminds me....one time I was installing some app...I don't even remember what it was...some freeware thingy of some sort...and for some reason, I stoppped and read the whole license agreement thingy.
It was the funniest thing ever :P
The guy wrote all kinds of silly shit in there cuz he knows most people dont' read it...stuff about taking your children, etc, if you sell it or whatever.
hilarious.
