Hello,

I just downloaded a movie off IRC and its in a SVCD format. Well i put it into my DVD player which supports this format, it comes up as an SVCD but when i play it, the audio sounds great but the video flickers really badly, it glides from the top of the screen to the bottom. You cant seen anything. Is there anything i can do to adjust this or what???

Thanks

Why are u trying to change svcd to dvd anyway the difference in quality is hardly noticeable anyway ? unless your trying to fit it on 1 disc, maybe this might be some help http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?categ...mpegencvcdtodvd (http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegencvcdtodvd) a lot of your problems might be caused by changin frame rates or conversions, say for instance the film was captured differently from the svcd conversion and then your trying to convert to dvd at a different format these things cause a lot of problems on the final movie.

It's a PAL/NTSC thing.

You're trying to play a PAL movie in a NTSC player or vice versa.

There are some DVD players that let you select PAL or NTSC.

Yeah mine plays both but if I use pal footage and encode to ntsc it never really turns out well.
