I'd like to play around with changing my boot screen but the boot screen setup (http://www.themexp.org/how_install.php) looks hard. Is this something that I shouldn't screw with due to the sensitive nature of the process or do I 'just do it!'?
Shut up and do it!?
or
I wouldn't screw with that buddy
There is an easier way to do it :D
Now what was the prgramme called?

Says to rename "logonui.exe" but I don't have that. I have "logonui.exe.manifest"
Any ideas?

Have never tried it myself but just found this (http://www.belchfire.net/~userxp/) and these (http://www.download.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=boot+screen&tg=dl-20&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=+Go%21+)
edit - just seen enoughfakefiles's post and that link looks the simplest one to use

You should try this site
Theme Xp (http://www.themexp.org/listings.php?type=login&view=date)
On that site your can download a Program called "Logon Loader", and also loads of ready made log-ons that work with it!
I use it so it must be easy  !

I'd be extremely careful about that.
I was helping my friend change his, ended up losing EVERYTHING on his computer.
Retrieved his parents tax forms with a recovery program, but everything he previously had on there was wiped out.

I've never had a problem with Logon loader...... touch wood!!

We were doing it before the style xp 2.0, where you had to do it manually.
