whenever someone mentions a comic its always a question aimed at guys , and is usually answered by guys too

so are there actually any non-guys who read comics ?

No but there are some, my ex, had a bigger comic collection than I do, and that's saying something, I also have quite a few female friends who collect comics, most of them collect manga, because their anime addicts (Of which I'm proud to say I turned them on too :P ), but those are still comics none the less.

I did have a small interest in comics some time ago, but I realized I needed to use money for more important things. ;)

Haha - me too!

Seriously, I think guys generally have a bigger interest in comics than girls because men are more visually stimulated than women. It comes down to how both genders' brains work, and guys (generally) learn things better if the subject matter is presented to them in a visual form.

I think this is also the reason why guys are more into porn than women, because it is presented to them in a visual format that they can understand better. The same goes for saucy Mills & Boon novels that women read - women have better imagination than men, and so get more out of reading text than men do.

Then again, I know some girls who love comics, and I'm starting to get back into them now than I have access tot hem via p2p.
