I use Nero to burn music CD's. Would love to use for video but can't translate AVI into MPEG (think that's the right terminology). Anyway, was fooling around with Windows Media Player and see that there's burning capibility on there.

1) Can I/Should I lose Nero in an effort to keep my computer as "light" as possible?

2) Is WMP better/just as good/worse than Nero?

3) Does WMP have easier video burning than Nero?

thanks so much.

I used to use Nero all the time, now I just use it for software. Now I used WinAmp Pro, belive it or not.

Use nero for sure. The windows media player burning is SHITE. it's gotta encode the files to windows media audio before it burns <_< takes way too long IMO and i hate media player, if it didn't cuase problems i would uninstall it comletely. for now just shortcuts and file extensions are gone... ;)
