Hello everyone. this is my 1st post, so please be gentle with me :D

I am downloading Van Helsing at the moment using Kazaa Lite.
When I try to preview it with the "AVI Preview" I get a small logo appear in the corner which says DIVX (I think) then it disapears, then theres nothing!!
It says there is about 60 mins of movie downloaded, So why cant I preview it?

If someone could help me out ASAP to save me downloadin the whole thing then to find out it dont work :(

Cheers. :D

Try in another media player called Videolan (click here for direct download (http://a1.edskes.com/v/videolan072.exe))

If the file won't play in it, it's a fake.

To avoid fakes, use the verifieds in movieworld (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showforum=25) or even better, use another program, since the fasttrack network is full of fakes.

BTW, welcome! :D

hmmm....a thought came to me while reading this thread....

Could GSpot be used in Preview mode?

Could easily be added to Tools (Preview with).

I've never tried it for previewing but seems like it would come in handy
for determining, before download of a movie file is complete, if the movie
file could be rendered or not.

Just wondering,
mrlessk :)

Interresting thought, but apparently, Gspot can't open .dat files when K++ is dling them... Image Resized

edit: can't open them when k++ is inactive too... :(

Yep, I ran across the same thing when I tried it just now myself.

Guess it would be up to the developers to see if this could be added
to future versions...(Check out GSpot 2.21 here) (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/)

I imagine they've already thought about this though.
Just seems like a logical function a codec information program like GSpot would
be expected to perform if it were possible.

Both thumbs up for video lan. Beats the hell out of avi preview. For movies, try mIRC. I downloaded a copy of 1 night in paris starring the lovely Paris Hilton  in just over 3 hours. Nice movie by the way.......  :01:
