you cannot improve the quality of a movie so I think you just need to burn the movie as mpeg on a cd if it doesnt fit you can burn it on a dvd

you can burn the file with nero, just burn it as 'data' onto a CD-r

if your DVD player supports VCD/SVCD then it will play

how do you know if your dvd player plays vcd's or svcd's?

First u would need to see if your dcd player plays cd-rw's and if it does try it out on there if it plays then burn it to cd-r, like mentioned this is easy with nero just goto create svcd, svcd's are not far from dvd quality but u may need 2 discs for a full length film, burning to dvd is slightly more complicated as it needs authored before you burn with nero, theres a lot of authoring software out there I use TEMPGEnc dvd author cos it gets good results and is simple to use, if you dont want menus on the dvd its a three click operation. try sreaching for it on emule theres plenty, TEMPGEnc have a 30 day trial aswell if emules not your style, all you have to do is use the mpeg as your input file then click no menu and out put to a folder on your HD, the output file will be 2 folders 1 called audio and 1 called video, go back to nero and click burn dvd and u just drag the video file into the the window(leave audio not neeeded) and burn, theres your dvd :) The hard bits done already now u have the mpeg, encoding mpeg from avi can be witchcraft

Drag and drop the mpeg from the original folder into the left hand(main) window, this will now scan the file, when it's finished click "burn"(should be 9th icon from the left at the top, says burn current compilation).

Important, when you chose svcd in nero, you MUST untick "create standard compliant CD".

OK first off

if your trying to burn as data it will not play in your DVD player

OK now

If you want to burn it too DVDr so it plays on your DVD player

You need to get TMPGEnc Author it will convert the Vobs and all the other files it needs into a new folder now with Nero open Nero up Choose DVD video CD and highlight every single file that TMPEnc author has made and put it into the video folder in Nero (The Red one) nothing goes into the audio.

Now if your just wanting to put this MPEG file on a CDr you open up nero

Choose VIDEO CD or if the file you have is a SVCD you choose SVCD then click new.

now drag and drop the file across simply to the left and burn

are you sure it's a MPEG file

Just check the movieworld guides Pinned topic to fidn my TMPGEnc guide if you need to read mroe about it
