hey, i'm trying to decide on which laptop to get but don't know which one to get. i've narrowed the choices to a dell 5150 or a ibm T40. i'm getting one for university but i want one that can also play games (not neccesarly new games that require high performance machines) and music.
my uncle could get the ibm for 1700 with tax. it has a 1.5ghz p4 m processor, upgrade it to 512mb ram, throw in a wireless pc card, has a , 40gb hard drive (i'm gonna see if he can upgrade it to 60gb), cd-rw/dvd rom drive, 14.1inch screen, carrying case, and three year warranty
the dell specs are pretty much the same: 512mb ram, 64MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 AGP 4x Graphics, 40gb hard drive, cd-rw/dvd drive, 2.66ghz p4 m processor, 15 inch screen, wireless pc card, no carrying case, and only a one year warranty. with tax, its 1750-1800.
what do u think?
for the dell,its 1920.35
for the ibm, its 1700 dead on. no extra fees. without my uncle's discount, it at least 3k without tax (in canadian dollars)
is it true that a 1.5ghz p4 m-processor is equilvent to a 2.0ghz or whatever norm p4 processor
