Why Do Crackers
use .info instead of .txt

It took me a while before i knew you could open .nfo with notepad
but still that doesnt excuse them for not using .txt

Why?

I beleve the .nfo is used by "Crackers" for a while now. Even before MS started using that. So maybe that why.

I think crackers like the ASCII art. Go here for the DamnNFO viewer (http://www.damn.to/software/nfoviewer.html) for a free .nfo viewer that beats the hell out of notepad. Notepad can screw up the art.

if i as noob clik on on .nfo file i get error on syte info
if they are trying t hide it why that way?

My bet is most of them are using Linux which genrally comes with aalib an ASCII Art library. It renders really cool ascii art graphics or something to that extent.

Funny I thought that too , when opening crack or serial , but I must be brain dead cus I was just interested in the numbers or key generator ! ;)
