Ok, now I know why Bittorrent stopped running on my computer. I belive it is due to something being with with Java on my computer. I just tried a java client for MSN messenger, and it ended up doing the same thing as BT did. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? I already know reformatting my hard drive will not work, I've tried it.

maybe it is the version of java you are installing, try to download the latest version and see if that helps.

you may want to consider removing microsoft java in favor of sun java.

yup, everything microsoft java can do sun jvava can do better. ;)
Java is bloat, more so with any bt app. I've tried IBM java and Sun java and they both seem to hog memory even on high end systems. Try using a python application. It's what I've switched to and you can have a lot more files opens.

Are you sure it's just Java causing the problem?
Used to get the same kind of freeze whenever I tried to access .swf (flash) files.
Every other app on my comp ran fine, but flash would kill it, every time.
After much troubleshooting, I found the problem was caused by faulty hardware.
A capacitor on my 1 year old mobo had died.
So, my advice is to closely inspect the mobo for faulty components.
You can tell a capacitor is broken if it's top is bulging up, instead of flat.
Also get memtest86 (http://www.memtest86.com/) and test your RAM.
Good luck.
