Whenever I try to go to my inbox through msn i get this message:

http://premium.uploadit.org/Filliz/IEactingasabitchagain.JPG

It's in dutch, but what it's bassicly saying is that 'The browser i'm using is no longer supported by MICROSOFT.NET Passport, and that i should upgrade my browser to IE 4.0 or higher or Netscape Navigater 4.08 or higher

I have IE 6 so i don't see why i get that message

Did a scan with both Adaware and Spybot S&D...nothing

hmmm maybe you need a totaly different browser like Firefox (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/0.9.1/FirefoxSetup-0.9.1.exe)

Nope..can't (don't want to risk to ) do so. :(

I tried updating my IE before and everytime, halfway through the download, i get the message that the version of WindowsXP i'm using isn't a licensed one and the download gets aborted. <_<

So if i uninstall it and try to install it again there's a big chance that i won't be able to.

I did get the copy of XP with my computer when i bought it in the store, but apparently that's no guarantee for having a legit one  Dammit

Yes...6.2, just updated a couple of days ago.

I can go to my inbox through msn,but the thing is that i have multiple accounts on hotmail
(and the password to my ex's account :shifty:) and i really don't feel like signing off and on switching accounts every time :frusty:

I think it is becuase MSN explorer, the latest free version (one that came with XP) isn't supported by them anymore.

To use the latest msn explorer you gotta buy their internet service. ;)

edit: NVM, didn't really understand, thought u meant u were trying to go to your inbox through MSN explorer. Sorry, just forget this post lol.

Something's really wrong with my hotmail :o

AV didn't find anything either.
But i just wanted to compose an e-mail and noticed that my RichText-editor has vanished  The option of turning it on or off isn't even there anymore

And my list of contactpersons looks weird too.
Now it looks like this in the list:

someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>
someone'[email protected] <someone'[email protected]>

I can still click the contacts so that they show up in the 'send to' field, but they don't have the clickable look anymore(if you know what i mean)

The main reason for the 'browser not supported' error for people with supported browsers is that a firewall is blocking the identification header that the browser is asked to send.
Yopu can test for this by temporarily disabling the firewall and trying to access the site.
Changing the firewall's settings usually cures it.

Look for a "stealth browsing" setting (that's what Sygate calls it). I had the exact same problem ;)

Changed my firewall settings in sygate to 'stealth' this week.
Unticked it,et voila...problem solved B)

edit: RichText-editor and list of contacts are back to normal too. :01:

From my experienece most internet connection problems are either firewall or proxy related.

If you have any future problems check these two settings first.

Regarding the unlicenced version of windows, i'm not sure if there is a keygen for your version, but there is one for all english versions. Download it and see if it works so you can install updates.
