Warcraft III (The Best I Know Yet)
Starcraft (old school RTS, STILL the best)

new one is Ground Control 2 but it is very different than old school RTS. You have a dropship instead of constructing buildings. it is also in 3D

seeing as you havent played the other CnCs you'd probably get right into CnC generals, fun for a bit :D
