How do i use Disk defragmenter,what dose it do?All i know is it makes your comp run faster

Read my pinned guide, the defragmentiing section. (link in sig).
It gives a bit of an explanation...
edit: or google it, there's gotta be SOOO much info on it out there. ;)
defragmenting is
like
a library
when you start everything is in order
then u take a book or two three
et c
you put them back in the wrong place
etc
after time the library is unstructured
defrag puts all the files in order
for perfectionists only ;)

dam dude if you havent used a disk defragmentor your computer must be runnin pretty crummy right now. ;)

it's not so bad with ntfs.

dont use the built in defrag prog it can take over 12 hours
get executive software diskeeper..........version 8 is on suprnova,i think the latest one is 9,havnt tried that one..............and yes it does make a difference

I doubt your performance problems are due mostly to fragmentation, though....

just reformat...
all your problems will go away.
