Well, there's lots of good programs to find movies. Why dont you try DC++. Search for it on google.

this has probably been covered somewhere here before, but anyway .....

1. bittorrent is probably the fastest. you can get a list of clients here: (i recommend abc)

http://a.scarywater.net/torrent/clients/

and for movies to download, here:

http://www.suprnova.org

the good: very, very fast. no fakes (i think).
the bad: usually good for movies posted recently, where a lot of people are still downloading. if everyone who has a complete movie decides not to share it anymore, then you won't be able to finish your download. also, sometimes the sites that manage the download of the network goes down. you'd have to request someone share it (re-seed) again. also, you have to decide which movies you want to keep actively sharing (seeding).

2. overnet/edonkey. http://www.overnet.com

the good. great for new movies, as well as rare movies. not as many fakes as kazaa.
the bad. not as fast as bittorrent on a per-file basis, but still pretty good.

3. emule. http://www.emule-project.org

the good. really great for rare movies (probably better than overnet), as well as new movies. very good for sharing.
the bad. not as fast as overnet/edonkey. if you're a new user, it'll take you a while before you can download at good speeds. the more you share with someone, the faster you'll be able to download from him. but starts off slow (sometimes very slow).

i use edonkey.

i'd recommend edonkey as it connects to the serverless overnet network, and can connect to the edonkey/emule network for more sources for "rare"er movies.

bittorrent is really great for recently posted movies. not so great if it's been posted for about a month, etc.

I would recommend Filetopia for all types of files. It's the best program I have come upon to date and I've tried a good few. People might think it's not great if they just search for a file and don't get many results but if you go to the chat rooms you'll find all the files you could ever want. Great speeds as well.

Have you tried bittorrent?

IMO, BT is the best, then newsgroups, then IRC, then of course verified eMule and Kazaa links.

My fatest speeds:
BT - 357 kB/s
IRC - 130 kB/s
Kazaa - 200-something kB/s

azureus is big and clunky. utorrent has taken over as being the best bittorrent client for me. I actually used to use nothing but azureus and swore by it with my life. But that was until I found utorrent :) It takes almost a fraction of the resources that azureus does and has a lot of cooler, more practical features. Look into it.

I prefer bittorrent. Using it is quite simple. You need client (like utorrent or azureus) and torrent file (you can find them at public trackers like mininova or TPB and in many private trackers) And then you just have to open that .torrent file with your client and your download is on the way :)

Well if you want to download a file for example a movie go to public trackers and that's how you start out. If you want something with specific content try private trackers. There are always some private trackers that are open. Some are considered "rare" others are quite common. To start off go here --> http://www.btracs.com/index.htm

Oh man do you have a lot to learn, and you are going to loove learning it. I was in your position not too long ago; and while it's time consuming and difficult at times, it is sooo sweet in the end. hahha
