Ever since I got my new comp

amd 2500+
1024 mem pc3200 ocz

and forwarded my ports my clients all freezing up after awhile.

I thought it was only bit tornando(all versions) but it happened in abc too.

Why is this happening I'm misssing out on a lot of torrents.

No I'm not trying azureus don't want java.

is it my win xp that's causing this I was using 2k and had no problems.

software running
sygate
nod32
netlimiter(the only way I noticed the freeze rightaway)

BitTorrent keeps crashing/freezing!

Update your network card drivers.
If that doesn't work, go to Prefs, Advanced, and reduce "Max peer connections" to 60 or below.

If it makes you feel any better I just started getting that problem with my ABC. I can't think of anything I have changed to make it go from working to non-working but I'll let you know if it fixes somehow.

thx 4 the replies.
I decided to try torrentstorm and what do you know.
Hasn't froze yet. Plus It's hella fast like tornado was for me.

Now I don't have to worry about my dls when I go to sleep..

@cornerblock-I don't think I can update my network card drvers, I use a mobo w buitl in lan or do you mean update my lynksys router?

Then perhaps updating mobo's lan driver from mobo site if there are updates. It seems you have worked it out, maybe go with it for now. If you run into issues, see if there is a driver update for the mobo lan.

Good luck! B)

I don' t know, when I hear java I think of viruses.
Plus, why do I have to dl two things to use one prog.
Too much of a hassle torrentstorm is quick and it has a simple gui.

works for me. :)
