Just use some silent fans, get a fairly quiet HSF or go water cooling with a quiet pump and quiet fans on the rad.
maybe get/make a HD silencer and then your set pretty much.
aside from that it's the small vibration dampening mods to help silence it ;)

thats what makes it cool :01:

i was just thinking the light plastic would suffer pretty bad from vibration in comparison to a metal case

clocker

I don't think vibration is a significant factor either way.

Having never built a plexi case I'm not sure though.

The few that I've seen seem to suffer from dust/fingerprints quite badly...much worse than a metal case.

If you use foam insulation on the inside of the panels to cut down the noise, it is also quite effective at hiding the wires.

Oh ya, forgot to say, arcylic cases suck for one reason: dirt. Dust in an acrylic case shows up like mad. I hate that about those cases. You gotta wipe them out on teh inside like once a day or else it looks shitty...Also have to wipe off your finger prints from certain colored ones too. ;)

All cases get a lot of dirt in them, just that the acrylic ones you can see it really clearly. ;)

Frankly, most of the components inside a PC just aren't very pretty.

Sure, the motherboard and the stuff that's on it looks kinda cool, but CD/DVD drives and HDDs are pretty bloody boring to look at.

Plus, the wiring job that is acceptable in a regular case is total crap in a clear case.

No room for shortcuts and laziness at all.

the side panels, when kicked, make teh awfullest really loud noise. <_< I hate that case. glad i got my new one. It may have been cheap, but it is very good quality compared to teh old one.
