I made one topic today that I've posted in atleast 4 times.

Who you gotta bang aroundd here to get a accurate post count?

Well, seeing as how this is the first time I've posted in a 'off-topic' room, that is not the cause.

Also, I'm not entirley clear on this one:

What is the 'discussion part'? Is that the section in which you post questions? Because I do ALOT of that.

Nope those forums (for reason I completely do not agree with) also don't count.

But this had pretty much become a dead issue it seems so we have to deal with it. Trust me Iwould be closer to 1000 posts if they counted things, but so it is here.

Why is there a "point" system at all? It doesn't make sense to me. If it is meant to encourage posts to "special forum topics" here, it ain't working with me.

What is the benefit of the points? 1 or 100,000 posts, I can still post as usual without any better wisdom.

Somebody give me a real answer. One that convinces, me with intelligent reasons. An answer that is not another question, to my question. Nothing vague or generalized. Something right to the point.
