I thought the idea of using ths stars that samsamsamsam ( :01: ) had made was going to be forwarded to Brian andf hopefully accepted and used. What happened?

Hey Rip, hows it going :)?

Go back about 2 pages and you will see a thread by Newscaster (or someone with a name like that) that has been closed its quite a few pages, well He susgested getting new stars and he had designed some, he removed them all after he had a disagreement with IKE i think. However Sam^4 took these stars and improved them and posted them. I think i remember a few mods expressing how much they liked them and either BOT or IKE said they would forward the message to Brian (Rookie) This was a couple of weeks back and i was just wondering what had happened?

Actually it was the current mod stars that I altered to get them using an idea that BOT posted .... BOT has however PM'd Brian adn posted about them possibly being put in so jkust goptta wait and see

edit: too many typos to edit

Yeah i was just wndering if soomeone had forgot to PM him or the thread in Team Chat had gone onto the second page or something and was inneed of bumb becuase i think they looked much better and so did alot of people by the look of the responses people gave, also Sam really needs bot to lower his warn level by 2% (check thread) .

But that's what i dont get.
Changing the PIPs isn't a major change, like moving the board to phpbb or something. It's just little pictures. Improves the board's appearance.
Why does it take so long to decide? <_<

And aren't exams over like a month ago for college\uni people, and for high schoolers like 2\3 weeks ago?

That would leave you with only like 9% more to get rid of, i wonder if any of the mods could be bribed...

Only Brian can upload those icons

I've PM'd Him about this, and never got any reply back, there's a topic in team chat about this but no reply from Him yet.

To be honest I don't give a fuck anymore.

It's not the look of your stars that matters...it's how many you've got. :01:

Actually I promised to stop saying things like that... :(

I wasn't keen on the new stars posted by newscaster (I didn't like the button type background they had). The ones at the moment seem fine (I like the admins/mods/forum star ones).

Also theres a new version of the board coming out in a few days time (IPB v2.0) so the admins will have alot of other things on if they choose to upgrade :)

I would strongly advise them to not upgrade, with every release of IP you always have to wait a while for them to iron out all the big bugs.

They've been testing this version for months so it should be sound, plus they've done a stagger release (first releasing it to their team, then to registered customers and finally to the free trial users) so the bug level should be low :)

You can see the new version in action here (http://forums.invisionpower.com/) :)

Yes I live in America.

I have been really really busy the last 3 weeks. Havn't even had time to coem on the computer too much.

As for the stars. What I need is a link to the files for all the stars. I can then upload them and activate them when I get a moment.

AdminCp - Users and Groups - User Title/Ranks - Upload a pip ;)

rookiecrd1
07-08-2004, 12:59 AM
There is no "upload a pip"

There is "add a member rank"

Rank Title ___________
Minimum number of posts needed _______
Number of pips_________
(Or pip image)

Maybe if I put the url to the pip (in the pip image field) and create a new ranking it will work, then I can delete the old rankings?

anyone know?

Can't you edit the existing Rankings, there should be a URL there for the current stars surely? Just replace with the new one.

Creating new rankings sounds risky.

thus changing the stars to the new one
