In Windows 98SE with Internet Explorer 6 if I select multiple pictures they would all open in the same window and I could go back to the first one opened if I just kept hitting back. I recently moved to Windows 2000 SP4 also running Internet Explore 6 but when I select multiple pictures they all open in separate windows. Is there a way to get them to open in the same window like they did in 98SE?

The solution to your problem isn't in your browser. The HTML code for the page specifies if the link should be opened in a new window, or not

Open Internet Options either from Control Panel or from the Tools menu in IE.
Click Advanced and put a tick (checkmark) in the box labelled Reuse windows for launching shortcuts
That should do it, and save you learning another browser.
