4 things:

1) What video card do you have? And what driver version are you using?
2) Install directx 9.0b if you haven't already.
3) Download the latest game patch.
4) Have you always had this problem with the game? or did it only start happening recently? did you try reinstalling? What did ou change recently that would make it not work?

Yeh i got rid of mine and do not use latest driver it sucks. It freezes videos and all sorts use the one that Windows Update site gives you for nVidia thats best stable release.

Now thecanuk you could try e-mailing EA games giving them your pc specs and nvidia card type and tell them the problem. Also have u got the setting for the card to Quality and not Proformance. I had a problem with call of duty and mine needed to be set to quality.
Mine is fx5200 256mb really crappy

Whats your system specs? this sometimes happens when you overload the ram. Xp requires more memory.

How old is the game is it XP compatible? Look on the box, if it doesn't say it supports XP then I suspect you won't be able to play it on XP.

I got the game and it needs these

CPU = 500mhz
OS = 98/2000/ME/XP
DirectX = 8.1 or Above
Memory = 128MB
HDD = 1.2GB
CD - DVD = 4 Speed
Graphics = 32MB with Hardware transform and lighting
3d Accelerator

It runs fine on my pc but my specs are way over these.

Only problem i could see with is the card you need ot get something new get a Ati or nVidia with 128mb or 256mb and make sure its a good model. Look at the guides about the graphics card.

What sort of AGP slot is it 8x or 4x or 2x or 1x

I would just look around on the graphics card area and see at mid range cards take a look and see what you like also listen to Rossco and Clocker i have learnt alot from them. Praise for you two their.

But u should look at card, i am not sure if it would be compatible tho.
