they are sections where people post specialised links to software they know to work, these links are to be used in filesharing applications. the "verifieds in a can" section is for lists of these apps but it hasn;t been updated for a while. the "verified hashes" section is updated more frequently and contains mostly single links as and when a member finds a piece of software on kazaa or emule.

the links which start "sig2dat" are for use with Kazaa and require you to enter the link in the sig2dat plug in of kazaa

the links which "ed2k" are for use in emule, you need to put them in to the appropriate window of emule for these links in the search section of the program

once these links are entered the filesharing application should start to search for the piece of software and start downloading it for you automatically :)

Verified files are used to insure you are downloading the actual file(movie, music, etc) that you are looking for.

This is done utilizing "hashes" which are little files created using a tool that comes with Kazaa Lite (see this thread on how-to) (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=3461)

While you have Kazaa or K-lite(or any other fasttrack network client) running and connected, you can click on a hash and it will add that file to your downloads.

The problem with this system is finding a "verified file." Sometimes users sharing "verified" files aren't online and you may have to wait. It can be hit or miss, so be patient.

Try it and maybe you can take the next step and use IRC or Bittorrent to get your files. Although the learning curve is much steeper than simply using Kazaa or K-lite. Some people just don't have the patience or smarts to learn these other methods so...fair warning and good luck...
