Ok, there's this woman (about 50 y/o) who was telling me and my workmate about her 15 y/o son and his g/f (15 y/o 3 weeks ago)
Now she lets them sleep together in her house in his bed, she also lets them drink red wine (fuck knows why red wine :x ) and she's happy they having sex.
The girl has no parents, lives with her grandmother.

Now, I'm kinda in the middle on this one, on the one hand it's wrong for this to be happening, anyone with a daughter will most likely not like the idea of her sleeping in a boys bed at 15.
On the other hand, it's better in a somewhat controlled enviroment like that than a bus shelter.

The mother buys him condoms.........and wine
So I think this is a tricky one, is it right or is it wrong?

I don't really care but having heard several arguments both ways I can honestly say I'm sitting on the fence on this one.

Opinions please :)

So she helps him get the girl drunk too, hmm, brilliant.

What does the grandmother have to say about it, do you know?

Someone needs to tell the mother that young people can get condoms for free at any local family planning clinic or young people's centre. It will save her a packet if they are at it like rabbits.

@Sunny.........Aparently the grandmother is ok with this, personally I would think she's under the impression it's just a sleepover

@MS2....Agreed, but of all the alcohol...Red Wine??? a 15 y/o :x
He said he drank a whole bottle on friday last week and felt sick

@Lynx..... :rolleyes:

I dunno, this is one of them weird ones, I heard people saying it's disgracful, people saying it's fine, people saying she should'nt brag about it and of course there's the people who say about it being illegal.
I still say that they not gonna stop them, so better in the home with issued protection rather than in a bus stop or an alley where they probably would'nt use condoms and the girl ends up pregnant, I think this is most people concern.

@Cheese........I told her a site where she can get 100 for £8 :01:

How many laws does this 50yo acquaintance of yours think she is breaking.

There are certainly offences in relation to supplying alcohol to minors and underage sex.

She best hope the Police don't find out about this.

I dunno JP, the alcohol thing is actually legal, you don't have to be 18 to drink alcohol in your home with your parents concent (this may be wrong but I'm pretty sure)

As for the sex, I don't actually know the law on this either considering both guardians have given consent.
I think most people who have been talking about this are talking more of the moral side of things

I think the <s>lady</s> woman is somewhat wrong in what she is doing.

There are certain limits to what a parent should be allowed to do.

And what she is doing here is certainly not something to be proud of.

I can't help but wonder if I had looked at it the same way if she had been the girl's mother tho', instead of being the boy's mother I mean.

Had they been siblings I'm fairly certain how I'd have reacted.

By the letter of the law two 15 year olds having sex is against the law but it is very doubtful that the police would ever get involved.

As the responsible guardian the woman is open to prosecution as she is aware that the couple are having under-aged sex but again the police are very unlikely to prosecute or even to get involved.

@Sunny.......Maybe, I wonder what would happen if the girl still had her mother and father, how they would have reacted.
I've asked a couple of fathers, one has a daughter of 9 , the other a daughter or 14 (which is the age this girl would have been when they started) they both said they would cut the boys nuts off
But they most certainly would not let her stay at his house knowing they were sleeping in the same bed.

@Cheese........Yeah, would be more of a welfair thing I guess and unless someone actually presses charges (like the nan) I would'nt think the police could do anything about it, like I say, I think it's more a welfair matter :)

I think Jonno's friend is being quite progressive by allowing this in her house, she doesn't seem too bright though - (sorry Jonno) - broadcasting it to all and sundry is hardly wise but she is protecting her son and his g/f from veneral disease and distracting them from the lure of drugs - also grass stains and the common cold.

I think it's fine, although hardly the thing to talk about while buying 20 Marlboro

And ocasionally tries to steal something if she's pissed

@MS2....... I honestly think the grandmother is unaware of the actually situation, I doubt very much if she knows all the facts, she lost her daughter and I do know the family, they are nice people, I really can't see her letting the girl do this.

Then I realised what would come, if I didn't add instead of being the boy's mother so I did.

Then I somehow wrote it in again, some mystical force made me do it.

The girl isn't at home with her parent (or guardian) tho'.

She is being supplied with alcohol by a woman who is not her parent or guardian. A woman who presumably knows she is under the legal age. She is then being taken to bed by said woman's son. She is then, if we are to believe your source having underage sexual intercourse.

I agree the Police may not be interested, however that may depend on any other offences the Mother has been involved in, she sounds delightful by the way. Or other information the Police have in relation to her.

However I am sure Social Services would be interested. Unfortunately I do not know how useful they would be tho'.

Sadly, they've capped the size limit at 100 pts or something, I noticed this a while ago, when I posted in nikki's b-day thread.

With regards to the actual topic, maybe it should be reported, I dunno'.

If it was my sister or kid or grand-daughter I would want to know, and I most certainly would want the woman to be punished, if the girl is drinking too.

Jonno, something is right if all persons included are aware of their actions and

consequences and still choose to do so, without damage to one of the parties

included.

2 15 year olds having sex in a save environment is allways better than where most

kidz those age get their first experiences.....

Nowadays 15 is not that shocking; getting pregnant at that age is awefull, though...
