Ok, I am trying to get some old DOS games includeing Full Throttle to run on Windows XP (NTFS file system, some dos games still run) and they worked, but the sound is like horrible cause the darn drivers that were supported for the game were like old ones and did'nt even have my brand which is SiS. Is there an emulator which forces a dos game to run with current drivers and stuff so it sounds better? I have a copy of WMware workstation and Virtual PC. Is there a DOS emulator/updated version for those?

You could right-click the .exe file and set the DOS environment manualy.. like the memory settings, extended memory?
Just puzzle a bit with the setting, if it doesn't work you can reset the default again..

hmm still cant find a setting that will fix it. The sound in *some* of my dos games is purr fuzz and i remebered it's not supposed to be that. I need an emulator i suppose..they'res probably something like that.. do u know of n e 1? :(

Are you running Windows XP, NT, or 2000?

If so, get a DOS-sound program called VDMSound. Webpage is here. (http://ntvdm.cjb.net/)

the emulator should have an option to change sound emulation....play around with that and see if it changes anything.....
