Windows Xp Professional Corp - Sp1/sp2?!?!?

Hi Guys,

I have built a few computers but when I install windows on them I doesnt allow me to download SP1. I downloaded my version from Bittorrent about a year ago.It is Windows XP Professional Corp build 2600.

I now see on Suprnova.org that you can get versions of windows xp corp with SP2, but I thought SP2 wasnt out yet? Has anyone else downloaded this version and found it to be true.

The main thing I wanna find out is what is the best version to download bearing in mind I want SP1 and SP2 and support for USB2. So I can install this on my new pc's.

If anyone could help me It would be greatly appreciated.

I might be that I need a valid key in order to be able to download the service packs. Can anybody point me in the right direction of a valid/working key ;)

SP2 is only out in a beta guise. The official release date hasn't been set yet although some speculate it will be later this month, others think it will be nearer Christmas. I'm not going to get it for a while after the official release because it seems to me that SP2 isn't vital nor will it improve performance.

Correct but to point here would be against board rules, google will help though ;)

Yeah the blue list for SP1 but chewie said something in one of those threads I linked to ^ about it probably not working if you wanted to install SP2 at a later date.

heh maybe a Pirate Shutdown were the computer rufuses to run the O/S, whilst startup up to Crossbones with "PIRATED" written under it. Then it plays Michael Bolten music.

the windows xp with sp2 will be a slipstream of the latest sp2 beta build with a copy of SP2, wait around for the official release of SP2 and someone on suprnova will have it slipstreamed in no time.
