this is where my system loses its ground!

the NVIDIA drivers were updated from windows update site,last month.

You need a new video card. It doesnt have certain features, like pixel shading, that are needed in newer games.

My MX420 pissed me off so much I had to get a Ti4200 :D Best deal I have seen for a video card, it was $31 :o

i doubt it ;) , get a cheap vid card like a Geforce FX 5200 128 MB ive got 1 and it shure as hell hasnt done me wrong its cheap also :) I guess you could run pretty much any game with it, you just need a fairly fast computer.

Nope. A hardware feature like this can't be substituted for a software add-on. Pixel shading will be standard in games in the near future. Best to upgrade your video card so you dont miss out.
