The site still doesnt need to be overbloated with so many fancy graphics and heavy, excessive Javascript use. Allmusic kicks ass but I still liked the old design better. Less cluttered. If you dont like my opinion you have your full constitutional right to kiss my ass. B)

Yeah, Arm has a point, it looks rather Heavy on graphs etc,
but i kinda like it.

The main point is, does it work better?

anyway, this is the re-vamping of AMG that FuNkY has been on about....forever :lol:
yeah, they souped up the looks a little....
but they are adding samples of the music,
so you can hear/preview em
it is still in developement sort of,
so its still a little buggy
when all the bugs are out....
it will be very nice IMO B)

It&#39;s nice that you can listen to some tracks, but it doesn&#39;t perform a vital function that it once did (T&G). For that reason, I would like to see the old site back.
As far as the whole login thing...why does AMG need to know I make + &#036;500.000 a year? along with my zipcode?
Not a bad wage for someone living in siberia, eh?

It appears AMG doesn&#39;t want any programs, such as T&G, downloading their information anymore.
Probably more to the tune of, "T&G didn&#39;t want to pay AMG their share of the profits".

If AMG cuts off teh support for third party plugins such as
Tag&Rename, I losing my reasons to visit that site.

I got there usually only to get info for Tagging.

If i need info about teh Band, I&#39;d rather hunt down the Official Site and
then the Fan Sites, as they will hold better info.

Too many times i&#39;ve seen AMG posting utter crap about the Artists in the CD or similar.

It has been really usefull to me, mostly.
But im not sure of teh future, and perhaps its too early to lay on teh judgement.

Hello whiterook,

Sorry for delay. Since AMG also changed their Terms Of Use policy
which not allow to use any software which can import data from its
pages I switched Tag&Rename to Amazon search. There is some advantage of
Amazon support - it allow to do automated search and have an album cover
in more than AMG resolution - 300 x 300 pixels (AMG covers is 200 x 200).
Amazon minus is that it show information only about CDs which they
selling, but it seems that they have most albums anyway. I hope that I
will found a way to use AMG data in future - I mind licensing it
database. You can download Tag&Rename 3.1.5 with Amazon support here:

Stephen Thomas Erlewine (AMG Reviewer) can be biased at times. If I&#39;m going to use his reviews, in any of my OCD pages, I&#39;ll ususally edit them with a review of my own.

take another look at your login name. It should be your email account, BUT it&#39;s in CAPS. I was having trouble too, until I used CAPS...don&#39;t know if it help, but it&#39;s my only suggestion
