so next week my check comes out and i want to buy a new vid card.

so far ive been looking around and ive found a couple things, and i just want to know if theirs going to be any problems.

first off i have a shuttle AV11 motherboard, and i wanted to know if u buy an asus card,or one of another make besides shuttle, is their going to be a problem?

ya im kinda noobish when it comes to this.

alrite hers the list so far. note all this is in canadian dolars

-Geforce FX5600 128MDDR 8x AGP card w\TV out, w/DVI port - Box (Jetway) $145

-ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB DDR TV Out $318.95< more than 250, but i can work a couple extra dasys.

-MSI FX 5700-TD128 128MB DDR TV Out / DVI $199.95

-ATI Radeon 9600 XT TD 128MB DDR TV Out / DVI $245.95

-ATI Radeon 9600 XT TVD 128MB DDR TV Out / DVI
Video In $265.9

now i want to know which one is the best over all deal, and besides the 9800 pro which one is the most powerfull.

thansk

Any of those boards would be overkill with your AV11 mobo. Also, AFAIK your board only supports AGP1x, I think those graphics cards would require 2x at least.

You would be wasting your money putting one of those cards with your present mobo.

 none of them will work if what lynx says is true...

anyway, bakc to the point, i'd go for the 9600xt, it's the second most powerful of those cards, and a good deal IMO.
