hey, i'm thinking of getting satelite service , but i don't know all the companies out there and don't know what's good or not..... as far as pricing versus quality to say the least...

does anyone here have any services that they'd like to inform me about?

i'm trying to get it for 4 tv's (one for each room)

i started off calling up sbc to get the sbc disk satelite, but they're goign to charge me like 78 bucks a month , whihc seems pretty pricey

when i talked to the installation guy, he told me to research on 3 companies

1) direct tv , which uses the tivo recorder

2) Voom (some new company)

3) Disk (sbc)

so are there more? i'm from the california area by the way.....um....and yeah, if you can, help me out.......thanks.....

been considering voom, they offer 30 something hd channels, more than anyone else
even got hd-playboy, you too can enjoy 1080i porn
I wish someone could hack the dtv gibson, we had it good for so long and its been dead for months
they got rid of all the p3 bin's and no one has hacked the p4 cards yet

as far as service, all going to be the same, but if your going to pay, try to get dtv
they have a hd receiver/tivo coming out soon, 4th quarter

edit: looks like its already out for +/- a grand

Anyways it is possible to also receive satellite singles using your PC. I think you have to get a DVB satellite recever.
