I know its possible to shrink the size of a dvd and burn it on 4.7gb disc but is it possible to shrink the size of movies i have downloaded to fit 4 movies on a standard 4.7gb cd if so what programme do i need i already have tmp,dvd aurthor
and dvd shrink but i cant seem to do it.

ive downloaded dvd and avi files. If i was to create the dvd useing dvd autor would i be able to shrink it then?

What I do is make my dvd in a program called Ulead DVD Workshop.. In there, I make menus and so on. Then I burn the image as an .iso to my hard drive. If it's over 4.5 GB, then I throw it in DVD Shrink to compress it, then burn it.

DVD shrink works well, I think if you encode the mpeg you can on vbr you can try and adjust to make it fit on a disc but I don't think its a lot, The problem with fitting too much onto a dvd is the it will take it out of the quality and your mpegs might ahve been encoded in different ways unless you are sure of the source.

Simple answer: Yes

As long as they are in .vob/dvd files DVDShrink will shrink if needed.
