Yes....He says when he does "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" the taskbar icon comes on, the little green taskbar icon comes on showing CPU usage, but the actual window does not appear. And whene he goes to "Start>run>taskmgr.exe" The same thing happens, he doesnt know if it is spyware or a virus, or just maybe a bug of somesort, any help bitches?

does it appear if you right click the taskbar and select Task Manager?

lol you thought of it bveing a virus or spyware, but didn&#39;t scan for it? lol
try that.


and before u do that, try double clicking the system tray icon. :rolleyes:

My friend had a similar probalem, and it was indeed spyware.

When he double clicks on the icon it just goes away. When he right clicks on it, it dissapears.

like Rossco said, I&#39;d strongly recommend a virus & spyware scan.

Ok i have no idea what you are talking about there. But i had him download adaware, spybot, and spysweeper, and AVG antivirus. There were viruses found, and spyware, he supposedly removed them all, and then restarted, but no dice. :(

mulitple scans/cleanings are often necessary with a really infected machine.
Keep doin it till they come up clean.
You probably also want to turn off system restore and delete all the restore points.
If it was really bad, it&#39;s prolly easier just to have him back up his files & reinstall windows.

my sister had something similar happen to her when she clicked someones away message in AOL instant messenger. If that sounds like something you would have done then try to run AIMfix http://www.jayloden.com/AIMFix.exe it would get rid of it, and it tells you if u have one or not so might as well.
