just got back after a long time on the net , reregestered with the k-lite forum (as you'd moved ) and just because this is only my second post since getting back im being called a newbie! <_<
anyone who plays games online will tell you this tag is an insult! :angry:
cant you find a more diplomatic title like 'freshman' :D

I agree. I much prefer the term n00b myself, newbie being sooooooo late 90's!
Nah no worries and really the quality of ones posting will dictate their level of respect. Having "newbie" there should not bother you really, since we all were n00bs at one point or another, and nobody here EVER insulted me for being a n00b to this board or k-lite itself.

Weird, Nobody1234 joined 15 days before me and at this juncture has exactly 333 posts more than me.
I know there has to be some numerological signifigance to Nobody having exactly 333 more posts, which of course is represented by the number 9.

Well this was a topic I mentioned in the Team Chat, but it seems it was brought out by RipperRoo, btw, nice to see you back :D
I have made a suggestion regarding the change of 'Newbie' to 'Newcomer', it seems to be a nicer welcome to the board. The other Mod's and VB seem to find it appealing........as mentioned in the Post Count Update (http://www.klboard.ath.cx/bb/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=22932), more updates to come..........we'll keep members posted.
Heck why not how about a poll on it? Been awhile since we had one B)

I generally only insult people if they ask stupid questions, or don't look out the answer before they post. If you don't make classic noob posts, then you won't get that trouble. I didn't have any trouble when i posted when i was a noob, and still haven't. I insult people all the time, but they ask for it. As for the tag, i don't care, its just a status, doesnt mean anything.

CornerPocket-You're the most diplomatic entity in this entire forum.
Will it be okay to use newbie, noob, or any variations in a colloquial fashion?
I would like to be able to use "newcomer"only on those occasions when I desire the extra syllable(s).
darn now so many things are changed not onli the newbie / newcomer thing

the thing that vexed me most about the 'Newbie'tag was the fact i was a member of the previuos k-lite forum and had over 100 posts , and having to 'spam' just to get the post count up is not my style.
