Hi,
I download quite alot of Albums and it would be much easier if i just had to download one file for an album instead of around 15, thats hard work.
Is there any Site where I could get those one file albums?
Thanx WOLF

If you dont fancy soulseek you can always search for 'albumwrap' on k-lite.These are one file albums that you need an extractor to seperate them OR you can listen to them as whole albums with no breaks in between. You can find hashs for these in the 'verified in a can section'...hope that helps.

do you really think albumwrap works properly? Most of the times, when you unwrap a file, you get diferent files, diferent size, name, etc, but when you try to play any of them, you always have the same song: the first one. So you have to go to a wave editor program and break down the entire file, into separte files. That means 20-30 minutes working.

I am not doubting that this has happened to you but of the 40 or 50 albumwraps I have downloaded, I have not run into that problem even once. What I dont like is when it says albumwrap and it is just one big mp3 and the extractor says it is not a valid albumwrap file.

Their is another extractor that claims to work better than albumwrap extractor on incomplete or corrupted albumwraps. It's called Alba extractor. I downloaded it but have not tried it since I dumped my file that only played the first song. If someone tries it out please let me know how it does. Here is the site. http://alba.sourceforge.net/

ramon, those files are called FAKES.......

almost all of the albumwraps i have d/led are real....
i've only had 2 albumwraps so far that were fake...... ;)

and jg, albumwrap works fine, its just sometimes people have shitty computers.....

i always try to unwrap my own files after I make them....just to make sure......

DOWN WITH THE FAKES!!!!! :D

Yes, I agree when it works, it works fine, but when only the first song plays no matter which song you select it did not work. I think it is possible for a file to become corrupted after several u/l's and d/l's. So another extractor may deal with that problem better.

P. S. did you call my computer shitty?

As was said, if it's the same song over and over again then it is definitely a fake - no extractor will help you there.

I tried this on a Duran Duran albumwrap that was extracting with the first track only.
It detected that the last track was incomplete and extracted all the other files correctly within seconds!

Good find Jg427 will be using the proggy from now on :D  :D

Well that shut me up! :D

I take it back, I never thought it could be the extractor. :">

@Skillian

I think its because the file is incomplete somewhere in the downloads out there, the last song in question was only 30 secs long.

Albumwrap obviously can't handle this when the file length (maybe in h:m:s) is incorrect and buggers up?!!

Oh well, let's hope that the AlbaExtractor can handle any other currupt d/l's

:) :)
