Are you sure it was a VCD and not an SVCD? My DVD player can't play SVCD's. I'm assuming you're already certain yours can at least play VCD's. I can't stand ezcd, it's a horrible program. Ditch it and get Nero.

Nero is easy to do vcd but the quality of the vcd is not as good as with other "real" encoders and it takes longer with Nero then a encode program called "TMPGEnc" which I personally thinks is best cuz there you have more settings, better quality and takes less time.

Just add http:// to the link and it'll become one automatically.

btw, vcdhelp.com was moved to http://www.dvdrhelp.com

Thanks for links info

I never realized it had changed as I have it set as a Fav

I know there are some nice bits of software out there which are very good at doing this (no messing about with settings) but I can't find ourt which ones they are at the moment as my husband is 9 sheets to the wind at the moment

The answer is here!
At least one answer. I have made dozens of VCDs without a problem, until recently. It was the brand of CDRs that I had used.

I bet you anything, that if you bought PRINCO brand CDRs that your problems will be solved. Those CDs are the best, for DATA and music. They have a very silvery compound in them that lets your DVD player accept them (provided that your DVD player recognizes VCDs).

Huh?

Actually, vcdhelp.com did change their name but if you go to www.vcdhelp.com (http://www.vcdhelp.com) it still goes to www.dvdrhelp.com (http://www.dvdrhelp.com). They go to the same place. :D
