I have been using the free version like the fact tht its easy on the RAM and cpu and i dont have to d/l big ass definition updates [56ker]..so wht is wrong with it?

Who said AVG wasn't preferred? Theres plenty of threads here in Softwareworld recommending it.

Imo the best free AV is Avast! not AVG. But for the masses I install AVG on their computers because AVG is easier to use.

i never really like AVG.. i have nothing against it, i just didn't prefer it. I am currently using kaspersky and its really good B)

I like that av but find it veyr ugly so i use nod32 which does the job as well or better and looks better. ;) also low on ram usage, using about 9,500kb total of all of it's peices (that i see in task manager, there could be more).

@TheRealDave I'm also using KAV5. But for free AV's on clients computers I install AVG. Unless they're knowledgable then it's Avast! all the way.

I've been using AVG Free Version for about 6 months. I haven't had any viruses or Trojans. I do scan with the online scanners once in a while and I also run Trojan Hunter. AVG updates quite regularly too!

no. i just installed some crack that came with my download from suprnova and it&#39;s been fine since i installed. :huh:

from virus definition to the program files?

i thought those cracks never worked for long
