Does packet loss result in slower speeds or receiving bad data?
For example if I'm downloading an mp3, does packet loss diminish the speed i get the file, or the actual quality of it?
How do you know your experiencing packet loss?

I'm no expert on this 'tinternet stuff but I'm guessing that a UT2004 demo ain't the best way to test if you are expereiencing packet loss. And doesn't the 'PL' level on that game stand for Ping Level?
I had problems with packet loss a while back, I found out that I was experiencing this through this program: http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net/ .
Turns out my modem was being effected 'cos it was too close to my monitor. Like I said, I'm no expert at 'tinternet.
