View Full Version : My Computer Keeps Shutting Down

well whenever i go to sleep i always leave my computer on because i'm probally downloading something but whenever i wake up i always see that my computer restarts......... now sometiems when i'm on the comp the computer just restarsts automaticly... its very fustrating... cause now i have watch my computer when its downlaoding something.. or when i'm doing something important i lose all my work... :(

so....now it just restarts randomly?
may be a power supply problem.
if it's only doing it up returning from hibernation mode, then it may be your ACPI settings, or your motherboard or something may not be fully ACPI compliant.
you can disable it in CMOS and see if that helps.

if not, I'd try a different power supply, if you've got one handy.

really? can it be the power supply.. cause this never happened until like a couple days ago.... :(

It might not be restarting, it just might be going back to the Welcome Screen.

it's restarting from errors.

right click my comp>properties>advanced>startup and recovery settings>yuncheck automatically restart.

now instead of it restarting it will display a bsod (blue screen [of death]) which will tell u an error code. write down all info u find then post it here.

or look it up by typing the error into google.


usually they are casued by bad ram or driver problems.
