I'd make a super-violent first person shooter. The violence wouldn't be mindless though. You see, every enemy would lose limbs and chunks of skin with each shot. You'd start out just blowing arms and legs of human enemies, but later you'd fight giant mutants and stuff that would get ALL busted up before they finally went down. The strategy would be shooting off limbs that have super-powerful weapons, so it would be easier to blow away the rest of their body. I'd also try to give it an oldschool shooter feel. And by that I mean "PURE ADRENALINE RUSH!" You'd constantly be trapped in rooms with just you and the enemy and NO cover. You'd have to dodge there attacks while blowing them away at the same time, which was what oldschool was ALL about. Some rooms would have pillars to hide behind, but they'd take battle damage as well, and would give out quickly if you didn't take out the enemy fast. The controls would be pretty much like Halo, but I'd have WAY over the top weapons and power-ups, like cannons that shot little exploding cars, and bombs that cirlce you and blow up any enemies that get too close. The highlight of the game would be the screen-filling bosses that would make you say, "HOLY CRAP!" And after a while, "HE'S GOT NO ARMS AND HIS INTESTINES ARE HANGING OUT! HOW IS HE STILL SHOOTING AT ME!" And finally, "DUDE! THAT WAS THE SWEETEST VIDEOGAMING MOMENT OF MY LIFE!."

part of your game sounds like the house of the dead. but i would defiinitly like to play your version, let me know if you ever do it.

i thought the mutants in farcry made the game tacky.

i'd have an FPS with huge levels you NEED vehicles to get round. it would be set in a bombed out city, hmmm after a nucleur attack maybe :unsure: .

the plot and combat would be, you and a few others survived and you gotta carry on surviving past new enemy lines of your invaded city. you would need to use cover and conserve ammo to survive. the main objectives would be to take and hold the hospital till you all used the miracle radation cure. then there would be loads of unscripted less obvious missions like breaking into armories and making youre own weapons and traps. the games finished when you get rid of the bad guys, the russians! yeah the russians! it can be like an alternate history. the it still issnt all over because each time you start a new game you aree placed in a random district, meaning multiplayer means seperate singleplayer campains can merge and seperate depending on whether you want to save your bandwidth.
this would be cool cos if theres someting you want to do thats just to hard you can inite a freind to help cos bots just arent enough ;) . you could also have clan fights if two districts decide not to share the hospital/armory/train station or any other important building :music1:

eventually, it would simulate the matrix program. a game so real that u're in it. then u can switch time periods and play all kinds of heros and kings and other stuff. virtual sex so real that u fell everyhting is also where future gaming will eventually lead to. :lol:

The perfect video game would be a RPG/FPS/TPS/ADVENTURE game. It would be perfect. You could do anything you want. Research and build a time machine, travel back anf forth through time. Travel to the futrure and steel future technology and go back in time and sell them or use them to start a war. Everything you can do in real life you'd be able to do in game even the stuff you can't do in real life. So the main part of the game is an RPG, but FPS tactics thrown in so you could get yourself in the army during WWII and fight the battle. You could become god and create new worlds. You could become the devil and steal souls and make people your minions to do your own evil while u have sex with ur wife. Anything you can imagine could happen.

umm yeah.. that would be the ultimate video game. Where anything can happen.

A game that complex wud make my head spin... i think ill just stick to minesweeper

Yeah, that would be pretty sweet. I think I'd exclude the time traveling thing and give it a setting kind of like Star Wars only with more meelee weopons, and cooler magic like summoning and shapeshifting. One of the obvious problems with this virtual world would be it's EXTREME addictiveness, but i have formed a kickass idea. It would automatically shutdown once you've been on for an unhealthy amount of time with a warning 10 seconds in advance. But the more exercise you got, the more time you could spend. For example, a fat loser laying around all the time doing nothing physical would only spend about an hour a day before it told him to get of his fat lazy butt, while one who intensly disciplined himself daily could spend up to eight. Think it would work?

true, maybe someone will make a mod for that game (STALKER). but ya, ur ideas are pretty unique, thinking of making a mod or something? that&#39;d be pretty cool tho defending "sectors" from other clans, very unique. i like it a lot :)

ur not the only one :angry: , i kinda gave up on farcry (no SP replay value, and lets face it MP sucks balls), but if u ever get it working lemme know, i&#39;ll play it :)

There&#39;s also this RPG idea I mentioned in a previous thread. When you&#39;d lock onto an enemy, you would fight in the vein of Soul Calibur. The A,B,X & Y or whatever would work as attack 1, attack 2, kick, and block. You would learn abilities from weapons, and armor. Fighters would learn combos, while mages would learn magic attacks cast in a more Streat Fighter way by assigning certain abilities to, say, quarter-circle back + attack 1, or back, forward + kick. Theives would learn the basic pick pocketing, lock picking, and other classic theif skills. You could upgrade to more complex classes much in a Final Fantasy Tactics kind of way, and they&#39;d all have different, more advanced abilities to learn. I can&#39;t decide weather i&#39;d do this or the super-violent FPS.

a mix of engines wouldmake a good game.

something like bf1942, but bigger maps.

mix the sof2&#39;s engines gore with red factions land damage. and gtas car damage.
and it would have to be completely moddable.

the problem with ea is once they make a new game they abandon the preceding one.

stalker&#39;s physics look promising

i dont think battlefield&#39;s engine is really that good. online on bf:vietnam the framerate still drops on my 9600pro. if you compare it to farcry for instance. the physics engine isn&#39;t as good. it doesnt have to work out AI. the textures are pretty similar quality. the view distance is longer on farcry. bf doesn&#39;t have ragdoll animation. bf doesnt have the same dynamic lighting and shadows as farcry.

yet on my rig farcry has a much more reliable frame-rate :helpsmile:

there shouuld be a periodic table one. where you mix different elements or find the best recipee for molotov cocktails and throw them at cats. could be hard to script though :unsure:
