Hi,

I am a researcher at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. I am investigating the impact of music download on the music industry and I would like to get the views of music downloaders on the topic.

Please click on the link below to answer my questionnaire, it will only take five minutes :

http://sondage.divx-emule.com/index.php?lg=en

All answers will be recorded anonymously. Thanks for your help.

The negative part being the crap policies that come into being when "protecting" the music.

Arresting wee kiddies and whatnot. <_<

My favourite bandsa and albums i would ahve no problem buying there albums IF cd's were cheaper, £13 foir a new cd and up to £18 for an older one in Virgin, if they were £4-£6 i would buy more of them.

Arm thyself with a proxy before going in I say.

The site appears to be in french by default btw. Yet the poster claims to be from a scottish uni, odd that.

I noticed that too, and the French version appears to be better written than the English one. Maybe he is a French student studying at a Scottish university. That's the most likely reason, as there are many international students at my university too.
Anyway, I always use a proxy server when answering surveys like this.

I remember seeing a survey like this months ago. It clams to be from a U.S university.

You only need to be in Canada, the minor part doesn't matter

By the way, I didnt answer because even though I like music, the music industry doesn't give a shit about me* so I don't give a shit about it.

It's not my job to ensure that the industry keeps up to date with all the latest technological commerce models. It's also not my job to see that the music industry "Does OK"

It is up to the music industry to make me want to buy their shit.

It's a dog eat dog world, im sure they've fucked people over terribly and not even thought twice about it.

As far as im concerned, tough shit. Ill buy what I want, and steal what I dont think is worth buying.

These are tough times, and the music industry can suck my ass...

*On any other level than taking my fuckin money.
