View Full Version : How Do You Convert Mpc?

I got some .MPC files and want to put them on my I-Pod so need to convert them to MP3, Whats the best way? And What Software would I use?

never heard of an mpc. can't you manually record with an ipod? :unsure:

mpc is the musepack codec.
I wouldn't really recommend converting it for any reason other than to burn as an audio cd.
but if you must, then get an mpc encoder/decoder from here (http://www.rarewares.org/mpc.html)

if you use EAC, just cut/paste the .exe's into the EAC program folder.
go to Tools > Decompress > select file/output name
and you'll have a nice .wav.

the decoder is really all you need if you don't plan to create mpc files in the future.

p.s. by the way it was not Red Hot Chilli Peppers it was Madness.... mad not mad!
and the only good version i can find on mule is in MPC format!!
