It's been like this for a while now.
Everytime i click on a topic here or on a link,or the back/forward button it goes <<click>> through my speakers <_<

It's annoying like hell

I don't see any options in my mouse settings that says something like "make sound when clicking something" that can be checked or unchecked

edit:..ermm...should this be in hardwareworld

er controlpanel>sound>sounds and then it's one of then wavs that should be turned off, i think

One of the explorer sounds, in fact.

I'm pretty sure I never changed a setting there, but i'll check it out.

Thanks.

edit: the only things I see checked in the explorer is 'start navigating' and 'empty bin'.
There's nothing in the whole list about the mouse or anything that looks like to be the cause of these clicking sounds

It just kicked in a week or so ago.
But I do remember that it started happening right after I changed a cursor to a final fantasy animated one.I switched back to a regular arrow because the animated one acted all laggy on my screen.
After that the <<clicks>> have been bugging me. :frusty:

Listen to the sound for start navigating, it's the same one that does the clicks for me.

You wont get sounds when you do them.

That is all, I think

Pfft...I'll keep 'em :music1:

Although the log on/log off intro/outro is quite annoying.
Specially when logging off not knowing the speakers are set to max. and get blown out of your chair by the sheer volume and unexpectedness of it.

(unexpectedness <---is that a word  )

You can always change them.

The sound of thunder is a pretty cool login sound, for instance.

And I used to have an explosion sound when I emptied the bin.

There might be something here for instance, tho' I',m not sure about the quality, but all one needs to do is google for wav's anyway.

Thanks.
I think i'll google for a .wav of a hot chick saying "Boy...you just turned me on".
Think that's a nice way to start up the computer

how about "tweak my knobs" ?

I think there was a chick who said that in a game a couple of years ago.

There used to be plenty of places to download sound themes but I bet some like Simpsons, Futurama, South Park and others may have been pulled due to copyright infringement allegations.
Many m00ns ago I used to have Homer say "No time for that now... the computer's starting!" at startup.

In warcraft there was a twin headed ogre that said "we're ready" then in anohter voice "I'm not ready". That's what my boyfriend's computer with windows 98 started with
