I've got 16 quid to last me next week...and 16 is such an awkward number should I spend 6 quid on an eight pack of beer so I will have an easier tenner to manage by?
Opinions please.
Edit: The reason I'm so poor is that it's broadband bill day (50 quid) and I bought a new gfx card...unwisely.

Well it's really two 4 packs, but my off licence does a special on 8 cans for 6 quid. That's like 20 dollars if my maths is correct.

if you have food to last the week spend it all on beer and tobacco
if you have no food spend it all on beer and tobacco and fast for a week

I have a microwaveable chilli, bag of frozen chips, some pasta, 2 tins of pasta bake sauce, a loaf of bread, marge and 3 emptyish marmite pots.
And a tin of baby carrots that I have owned for a number of years.

ok.....
day 1 - bread and marmite and chip butties
day 2 - pasta bake and toast
day 3 - micro chilli some chips and bread
day 4 - pasta bake with the carrots mixed in (the bread is out of date by now but tinned carrots last for ever)
day 5 - now we're stuggling - maybe there'll be some chiips left
day 6 - go round someone elses house for tea
day 7 - go round the back of Tesco's and see what they've chucked out - freeganism is the new Marks & Spencers

You can live on that and six cans of beer for a week easy.
Hell, in some parts of the world that could feed a family of eleven for a month.
