Hey,

I've been using the original BitTorrent client, but I do not like it at all. It is very buggy and it just has no options or features.

So which one to switch to. Which one with the most functionality?

Azureus
BitTornado
TorrentStorm
Shadow

I'm sure there are others that I dont know of.


Just want to know what people are using and why...

its all down to preference. personally i like azureus cos it looks good and there are lots of features. best thing to do is look at one and decide. try g3 too.

Ive tried

1)Azureus
2)Torrent Storm
3)G3 Torrent

Out of all those I liked Azureus the most :P , right now im trying out bittornado to see if its better then Azureus ... suprnova.org seems to be down today tho

Edit: Tried Bittornado ... I still like Azureus better

Well seeing as you want a client with functionality I would suggest G3, I find it works quite well for me in terms of memory usage, looks etc., but a lot of people use Azureus so thats probably worth having a look at as well.

Just installed it and imo it has the best interface i've seen so far.
Other clients also gave me errors and ABC doesn't.

mmmm.... i thougth nobody liked abc (as everybody seems to like azureus better)

I have tried ABC and Azureus. Azureus is good but ABC is even better. It uses less resources...

am i using a version of abc that no others use,
i used abc a lot before going to G3, if i left abc over night and day when i got back my system would be sluggish, with g3 i get everthing, no issues

Another vote for BitSpirit!!!The only disadvantage is it is banned by some trackers!!!

I found new torrent client for Windows/Mac OS/Linux - Tribler (http://www.tribler.org/). If somebody want lets try it ;)
It's based on ABC & BitTorrnado core.
I prefer Azureus cause has a lot of plugins, advanced settings, nice interface and report correctly the ratio.

I would stick to utorrent 1.6! As long as you donīt update to the upcomming versions itīs still the best client. Azu would be 2nd choice...

From the clients you have listed I would have chosen Azureus, I would also recommend to try ĩTorrent which is another excellent client.
